The Comal River has reopened in New Braunfels after being closed due to flooding. The river reopened at 3 p.m. on Friday, but officials are warning that submerged debris may still be present as cleanup efforts continue.

Lifeguards were not on duty on Friday due to the late reopening, but they are expected to return to their normal schedule on Saturday at 10 a.m. River Acres Park is also open.
