Severe storms caused widespread power outages, affecting over 250,000 customers. The storms brought strong winds of 65 mph and approximately 2,500 lightning strikes, damaging poles and transformers.

Crews worked nonstop to repair the damage, with more than 80 crews involved in the effort. The power outages were eventually fully restored.
