Overnight road closures are planned in the area as part of TxDOT's I-35 Northeast Expansion. The closures will take place from August 17 to 21, 2026.

The affected areas include the southbound I-35 frontage road near certain intersections, as well as key ramps and U-turns. Detours will be available via I-410 and Eisenhauer.
